EASTER REHEATS

Dearest MIL,

Thanks so much for caring enough to move your Easter Meal up to 2pm, and NOT TELLING US! We ended up missing my grandma's homecooked meal at 5pm, because we were scheduled for your house at 5pm. I 'm so glad I gave up my grandma's fresh cooked ham, mashed potatoes with butter, and all the excellent side dishes and tasty desserts for some nuked ziti. Oh, we also warmed up some augraten potatoes (box mix) , corn and a small hunk of overcooked ham.

thanks bunches

Why do people that don't want to cook insist on hosting? I love to cook. Come to my house.

Oh, and I suppose you think your family is more important than she is? Rest assured, she made it difficult for you so that you understood that point.

DD,
Peeps for dessert - nope!!
Thank God I was in charge of that. I brought a confetti cheescake.

When hubby saw my very small plateful of reheated food he was like what's up with that. And I said - just saving room for dessert... and did I ever have a big ole piece of cheesecake to make up for it!

Not really a matter of importance (family vs. family) more a matter of at least my family cooks/entertains well!

Sighhhhh - but at least the MIL got to christen her new kitchen. The kitchen that has tied up many hours of hubby's freetime remodeling...

Oh, your grandmother's Easter meal make my mouth water. Your mil's meal made me want to run outside and scream.

Any chance of ditching MIL's Easter lunch next year?

Ha! I just read the whole site and cracked up. And then I had the terrifying realization that if I ever get married, my husband will be here bitching about my mother. All by her lonesome she embodies many of y'alls complaints. Luckily, she lives far away. :)
